Void but white occupy space. Mysterious liquid dense totalitarian glass. Screen is the fourth window to the cube. RAT TAR intends to isolate, warp and distort elements and modes within the now standardised rooms of presentation to explore relations between artist, artwork, and audience. Referring to certain neo-colonial and capitalist tendencies within this format of presenting an artistic practise, the video questions the validity of interpersonal encounters and the value of the work itself.

Oslo/Vienna based artist Magnus Andreas Hagen Olsen (NO) is currently studying at Oslo National Academy of the Arts. Through his artistic practise, Olsen explore language, communication and translation of information in relation to certain structures through various mediums, where ideas of power, discourse, representation and identity politics all propose central questions. Olsen is also the co-founder and curator of UNKNOW (www.unknow.onlie), an online based environment for interdisciplinary exchange between young artists, guest curators and academics, dedicated to digital culture, philosophy, and media.
